Trust has introduced three new USB 2.0 hubs whose functionality is tailored to three different uses. All three models allow a maximum of four USB devices to be connected to one USB port. Both high-speed USB 2.0 devices (up to 480 Mbps) and USB 1.1 devices (up to 12 Mbps) are supported, so that MP3 players, digital cameras, Bluetooth dongles and USB sticks can be used without a problem.
The different design and functionality of each model is tailored to a specific use with a notebook or desktop computer.
The 4-Port USB2 Mini Hub HU-4445p (www.trust.com/15005) has a compact design and is approximately the same size as a cigarette lighter. The hub does not require a power adapter and is, therefore, ideal for use with a notebook. The short USB cable is attached to the device and can be placed in the body when travelling, so that it can never be forgotten or get tied in a knot. The hub has four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, with one on the side, so that large and wide USB devices, such as MP3 players or WiFi adapters, can be connected without blocking the other USB ports.
The 4-Port USB2 Triangular Hub HU-4840 (www.trust.com/15006) has a modern triangular design with four high-speed USB 2.0 ports. Two USB ports that are located on the top of the hub make the device more easily accessible and ensure that wireless USB devices, such as WiFi and Bluetooth adapters, and mouse receivers, work more effectively. The other two USB ports are located on either side of the device, so that wide USB devices can be connected without blocking the other ports.
The last new USB hub is the Illuminated USB2 Hub Mouse Pad HU-4750 (www.trust.com/14958). This is a USB 2.0 hub with four high-speed ports integrated in a mouse mat with attractive, blue, illuminated edges. Since the mouse mat remains within reach on a desktop, it is easy to connect USB devices. Thanks to the mat’s anti-slip design, the devices can be connected using only one hand without the mat moving. The advanced properties of the mat’s surface, which measures 170 x 240 mm, make optical and laser mice function more effectively, particularly on desks made of glass or other shiny materials.
The triangular hub and the illuminated hub mouse pad are available now. The 4-Port USB2 Mini Hub HU-4445p will be available from the middle of December.
