Finance Minister Harris Georgiades underlined Cyprus’ commitment to an endless reform effort, at the “Economist” Investment Summit "Cyprus – Greece – Israel: Strengthening Ties", in New York.

Georgiades, along with the director of the Israeli Finance Office in New York, participated in a panel discussion on the creation of a more favourable climate for investment and economic activity in the Eastern Mediterranean.

After his speech to the Summit, Georgiades said it was an excellent opportunity to emphasize that the Cypriot economy has been stabilized and was on the path of growth, offering excellent opportunities for investment.

He said the Summit was an opportunity to emphasize the importance that the Government attaches to strategic cooperation between Cyprus, Greece and Israel, which covers a wide range of sectors and could transform the East Med region.

Cyprus seeks to contribute to that transformation of the region into a region of stability, cooperation and growth.

During his participation at the Summit, the Finance Minister said Cyprus would exceed the forecasts for this year’s growth.
He said, growth forecasts were extremely positive and expressed the opinion that growth would surpass the predictions, as has happened before. (source CNA)
