Cyprus DCA releases figures on air traffic for January ’09

Cyprus Department of Civil Aviation released today figures on air traffic for January 2009.

In Larnaca, Cyprus' major airport, the figures, compared with January 2008, show an increase in flights by 2.0%, while passengers and cargo transportation declined by 3.4% and 3.8% respectively.

Air traffic in Pafos airport for January 2009 recorded a decline in fights by 4.7%, whereas passengers and cargo transportation decreased by 5.6% and 62.6% respectively.
