ECONOMY: Cyprus to attend 1st Energy Ministerial Conference with Greece-Israel-US

Cyprus Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis will attend the 1st Energy Ministerial Conference involving the participation of Greece, Israel and the US, held in Athens on Wednesday.


Greek Minister of Energy Kostis Hatzidakis will represent Greece, Yuval Steinitz will attend on behalf of Israel and Francis Fannon, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Energy Resources at the State Department will represent the US.

During the conference, the four Ministers are expected to discuss key areas of potential cooperation.

They are also determined to establish a High-Level Working Group, which will define certain projects of common interest for cooperation and to recommend ways for their implementation.
