PrimeTel and Accedo introduce interactive gaming

PrimeTel together with Accedo Broadband, a leading IPTV application provider, introduce Funspot an interactive gaming service.  For the first time in Cyprus, television viewers have the capability to play games on their television.

This innovative service enables PrimeTel subscribers to play interactive games on their television with the use of their remote control at the comfort of their couch.  There is the capability to choose between various game categories like trivia (Trivial Pursuit), mind games (Sudoku), card and casino games (Blackjack, Poker, Solitaire).  Aside from these, Accedo’s Application Portfolio, the largest available in the market, also includes quizzes, video-art, comics, karaoke, news, general information and music.

“At this initial stage the Funspot gaming service features 12 games and in 2007 we are planning to add many more, according to the conclusions drawn from this initial stage” said Michael Lantz, Accedo’s CEO.  “Many of the games are available in competition version, where users can first train for free and then compete for attractive prizes by paying a small fee”.  Going on, Mr. Lantz said that it is a privilege to work with Primetel and that the way they think about game services was pushed to new levels.

The Funspot gaming service has been available to PrimeTel subscriber since the end of October of 2006, and the gamut of its games will be constantly updated from Accedo’s extensive portfolio.
